Former international John Ogu has revealed how Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho cried hard when the latter was dropped in the last Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The 33-year-old star expressed happiness with growth of Iheanacho.
In Nigeria’s first game of the AFCON 2021, a superb first-half strike from Iheanacho secured an important 1-0 win for Nigeria in their crunch clash with Egypt in Garoua.

Ogu tweeted: “One person I’m most proud of is Kelechi Ihenacho. I remember the last Afcon he was dropped.
“He was crying so hard and didn’t want to really talk to anyone. I’m so happy for him Today @67Kelechi”
He further said: “Last Afcon we went to, the 3 players who were dropped are buzzing real good in the present Squad – @SemiAjayi, @67Kelechi, @Simon27Moses . Moses was actually injured.”
