Ijesas in diaspora extol Omoworare, Famurewa’s virtues

The Ijesa people in the diaspora, a social cultural group of all Ijesa indigenes across the globe, has commended the representatives of all the six local government areas of Ijesaland in both the Senate and House of Representative, for their steadfastness and continual exhibition of the Omoluabi traits.

The group said it is very proud that its representatives are not part of the ongoing show of shame in the name of forgery and budget padding at the National Assembly . This was contained in statement issued by the Chairman of the Ijesa People in the Diaspora’s board of trustees, Chief Bobaseye Akinyemi Fasakin.

According to the statement , Fasakin particularly  extolled  the virtues of one of their representatives at the green chamber, Hon. Ajiblola Famurewa, representing Ijesa South Federal Constituency, who opted out of the House of Representative’s Speakership race on the instruction of his party’s leadership inspite of massive support from his colleagues.

“We reliably  gathered  Famurewa’s unshaking loyalty to his party cost him chairmanship position in the green chamber, but yet has remained resolute and unswerving to the wellbeing of his constituent and structured legislation through developmental motions as displayed in his motion for the establishment of Federal Medical Centre at Ilesa,” the group said.

The Ijesa people in the diaspora also commend Hon. Oluwole Oke (PDP) representing Ijesa North Federal Constituency for not being enmeshed in the ongoing budget padding scam as well.

The statement also applauded Senator Babajide Omoworare, though from Ife, but represents Ife/ijesa district in the Senate. He was praised for standing by the wishes of Nigerians at always in spite of intimidations by the leadership of the Senate on several occasions.
