APC Chieftain and House of Representatives Aspirant for Irele/Okitipupa Federal Constituency, Hon. Amos Ayodele Akinmulewo has reiterated his desire to ensure a holistic transformation of his Federal Constituency, Irele/Okitipupa Federal Constituency in Ondo State.
Hon. Amos Ayodele Akinmulewo who is an ICT Consultant, Public Finance Management Expert and Debt Management Professional revealed this during an interview with newsmen in Irele, Ondo State.
According to him, the Federal Constituency over the last decade has suffered consistent growth in many of its sectors and this has negatively affected the standard of living of the people.
He also identified some key major areas which he aims to focus on if given the mandate to represent e Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber. According to him, Infrastructural development, as well as Youth and Women Empowerment, will be highly prioritized.
In his words,” In terms of economy, infrastructure development can impact the employment rate, productivity, and income as well as give an added value”
“Infrastructure should be seen not as an end in itself but a means of delivering essential services. We need to start making shifts to thinking about infrastructure as what it does—protects, connects or provides essential services—not what it is.”
He revealed that the Federal Constituency needs someone who is capable of influencing an improved budget allocation from the Federal level for the Constituency and he further explain that with his experience as a Public Financial Expert in the nation, he has the much-needed credential to facilitate this at the Federal House of Representatives.
In his words, “with my experience as a consultant to the National Assembly, I will make sure that those challenges facing us infrastructurally will be well taken care of.”
“If the challenges we are facing now are not captured by the national budget, there is no way those challenges can be resolved.”
Also, he stated that Youth and Women empowerment will also be given serious attention to in the Federal Constituency by availing them viable opportunities to thrive and grow in the society.
According to him, The Federal Constituency will develop better if we give proper attention to the empowerment of the youths in our communities. In his words, ” We owe it to our youths to ensure that we provide them with better opportunities to not only sustain themselves but also advance their themselves in their various fields.
“I will key in into this because of my background as a public finance management expert and a world bank consultant,I will make sure all this are Available for my people,” he added.
