A pop star from Nigeria and songwriter, Gilbert Bassey, popularly known as Gillian Baci is optimistic his kind of songs are the type that can help people struggling with depression find their way out.

According to the artiste who is also a filmmaker, his songs give hope. He also stated that he prefers to be addressed as a pop artist from Nigeria, rather than a Nigerian pop artist, because, to him, he is a global artist.

His recently released project, Sweet Serenity, is out on digital platforms, and has recently released a couple of visuals to singles off his Sweet Serenity EP.
