Former Ondo State House of Assembly Speaker and governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Victor Olabimtan has said he is still in the APC.
Reacting to a statement by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state chairman
Clement Faboyede that he would soon return to the PDP, Olabimtan said Faboyede was only dreaming.
In a statement in Akure yesterday, Olabimtan said: “Much as I would not have wanted to dignify Faboyede’s statement with a response, I feel it is necessary to put his joke to rest and say he was daydreaming. I have no intention now or in the future to leave the APC.
“His case and that of the PDP can be likened to a drowning man clutching at straw to stay afloat. “
“I want to assure my party, the APC and my supporters of my loyalty and commitment to the party and to them and say I am still very much in the race to clinch the party’s governorship ticket.”
