Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has assured the ailing former Super Eagles skipper, Henry Nwosu of adequate support for his treatment.
Nwosu has been diagnosed of heart related ailment and he is currently at Asaba Specialist Hospital where he is receiving treatment.
The Governor who spoke through the Imo state Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dan Ogu said that he takes personal interest in the wellbeing of every citizen of Imo state and that he would do everything possible including treatment abroad to ensure Nwosu whom he called a personal friend, fully recover from his ailment.
“We are glad that he is improving and that things are getting better. We are going to do everything possible to ensure that Nwosu is back on his feet and very active too,” Ogu stated.
“We take pride in the life of every Imo person. We shall follow it to a conclusion until he fully recovers.”
The Governor’s visit was just one of many visits of dignitaries who have gone to lend their support to the ailing Nwosu who was in the Green Eagles squad that won the 1980 AFCON in Lagos.
