A group of Lagos-based indigenes of Igboora, an Oyo community, under the aegis of ‘Igboora: The way forward,’ have hosted monarchs from the community in Lagos.

In attendance was the paramount ruler of Igbooraland, Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye Olu; Oluaso of Iberekodo, Oba Jamiu Adedamola Badmus; Baba Aso Iberekodo, Igboleland, Oba Olusanjo Ojo; Onisaganun of Saganunland, Oba Fasasi Adekunle Jinadu; Onidofin of Idofinland, Oba Samuel Adewuyi Adeleye and Regent of Pakoland, Chief Moyofola Jagun.

The monarchs from the ancient town regarded as the community with the highest number of twins in the world were hosted to a reception on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Mushin LG Hall.

According to the organisers of the event, the mission of the group was to show appreciation to the Obas(monarchs) for their cooperation in peace-making in the town.

In his welcome address, the leader of the forum, Elder Adejare Oguntoyinbo thanked all the monarchs in attendance for the fatherly roles they have been playing in bringing development to Igboora.

Top on the issues discussed at the meeting is the security of the region from kidnappers, conquering power outages, and the anticipated Igboora day which was stopped long ago due to communal discrepancy.

The monarchs promised to be more united, saying that is the only way to a peaceful and developed environment.
