INEC reconstitutes standing committees, states of supervision

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reconstituted its Standing Committees and States of Supervision for National Commissioners.

 The Commission also set up various standing committees for ease of administration.

According to INEC news Bulletin, the reconstitution was contained in the Commission’s decision extract  dated January 5, 2017 and signed by the Acting Director, Commission’s Secretariat, Mr. David Asemo.

The States of Supervision for National Commissioners and reconstituted Standing Committees are as follows:

 Professor Anthonia T. Okoosi-Simbine for North-Central (Kaduna, Niger, Plateau and FCT); Alhaji Baba Shettima Arfo for North-East (Yobe, Gombe and Bauchi); Amina B. Zakari for North-West ( Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi); VACANT for South-East (Benue, Enugu and Anambra); Prince Adedeji S. Soyebi for South-West (Oyo, Ekiti and Osun); Dr. Muhammed M. Lecky for South-South (Cross River, Akwa-Ibom and Delta and Engr. Abubakar Ahmed Nahuche for North-West (Katsina, Jigawa and Kano).

Others are Mohammed Kudu Haruna for North-Central (Kwara, Kogi and Nasarawa); AVM Ahmed Tijjani Mu’azu for North-East (Adamawa, Taraba and Borno); Prof. Okechukwu O. Ibeanu for South-East (Imo, Abia and Ebonyi); Dr. Adekunle Ladipo Ogunmola for South-West (Lagos, Ogun and Ondo) and May I. Agbamuche-Mbu for South-South (Edo, Rivers and Bayelsa).
