Injured Rangers striker Ifeanyi Egwim was operated on Sunday night at the National Orthopedic Hospital in Enugu with another surgery scheduled for today, officials said.
Egwim suffered a double leg fracture in Sunday’s championship decider against El Kanemi Warriors at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
Rangers team doctor, Emeka Onyia disclosed Egwim was first operated on Sunday night and another surgery will be done on Tuesday.
“The surgery went into the early hours of Monday and everything is looking good. And the player has a very high chance to be back in action in the next three months if all goes to plan,” Onyia said.
Egwim has been visited by his teammates, coaches and officials as well as El Kanemi Warriors coach, Ladan Bosso.
