Anthony Joshua has posted a video of himself training whilst Tyson Fury ‘s trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder plays in the background.
Joshua is preparing to win back his heavyweight titles against Oleksandr Usyk after losing his belts to the Ukrainian last year.
The Brit has pondered finding a new trainer for the rematch and is expected to announce his new coach when he begins his fight camp.
He was set to abandon his Usyk rematch to allow Tyson Fury to fight his fellow world champion in an undisputed clash, but Fury will instead face Dillian Whyte after negotiations fell through.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where their fight first was held, or the Middle East are likely locations for Joshua’s rematch which is targeted for May or June.
And fans were quick to point out that Joshua had his domestic rival Fury’s fight with Wilder on in the background whilst training.
“Tyson Fury in the background,” a user wrote. “Anthony Joshua studying Tyson Fury, interesting”.
Joshua will look to become just the sixth heavyweight in history to become a three-time world champion if he can win back his belts against Usyk.
‘AJ’ toured the US after losing his belts in search of a new trainer, working with the likes of Eddy Reynoso, Virgil Hunter and Ronnie Shields. But according to his promoter Eddie Hearn, the Brit is confident he could avenge his loss to Usyk without the help of a trainer.
