Oyo-State

A middle-aged woman lost her life on Wednesday following a lone crash involving a truck with faulty brakes that rammed into the bustling Eleyele Market in Ibadan North Local Government Area, Oyo State.

The tragic incident left several others injured, with witnesses describing scenes of panic as people scampered to safety while the truck crushed its way through the market.

Eyewitnesses reported that the DAF truck, loaded with granite, lost control as it approached the market from the Dugbe end. Despite the driver’s attempts to manoeuvre the vehicle, the brake failure rendered his efforts futile, leading to the devastating crash.
