• Says Nasarawa United won’t be complacent in Uyo next weeka
Despite topping the first leg of the Glo Super Four tournament concluded in Kaduna over the weekend, the Chairman of Nasarawa United, Danladi Isaac has told SportingLife that the Solid Miners still have some lapses they need to work on before the commencement of the second leg in Uyo next week.
Isaac ,who is also the substantive Chairman of the Club Owners Association of Nigeria, said that instead of rolling out the drums in celebration of their first leg feat in Kaduna they have seen some areas they must improve on before the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round against Generation Foot of Senegal next month.
He revealed that more work would still have to be done in every department of the team, especially in the attack which couldn’t bring in the expected goals in Kaduna during the Super Four.
Isaac said that the players have since resumed training and they are going to look at the remaining players that didn’t travel with the team to Kaduna with a view to revitalise before the trip to Uyo.
“We won’t be carried away by our outing in Kaduna because at the end of the pre season tournament, we were able to identify some areas we need to work on. The tournament exposed our lapses and we must work on this before the start of the CAF Confederation Cup,” Isaac told SportingLife.
Nasarawa United topped the first leg of the Super Four with five points from three matches and were the only undefeated team in the tournament held in Kaduna.
