Nigerian champions, Kano Pillars, have completed the signing of Bala Zakka, who left Enyimba as a free agent.
Supersport.com learnt that Zakka’s transfer is a short-term deal which covers the remaining part of the season.
Zakka, who left the Aba side during the first round of the season was initially linked to rivals, Heartland, but the deal did not go through.
“It’s a dream come true for me since Pillars are back-to-back Nigerian champions. I’ve always wanted to play for Pillars considering the profile of the club. I’ve since settled for business and looking forward to my debut. I’m excited to be back in the league,” Zakka told supersport.com.
Pillars gaffer, Mohammed Baba Ganaru, will have more options at right and left back positions as well as anywhere in the midfield since Zakka can play in several positions.
“I’m ready to play anywhere the coach instructs me to play,” Zakka said to supersport.com.
Although Zakka was no longer guaranteed a first team place under Kadiri Ikhana at Enyimba, he remains one of the few utility players in the league.
Zakka won the Federation Cup with Enyimba last year.
