The Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Architect Ahmed Dangiwa, has declared Katsina State’s full support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dikko Umar Radda, stating that their strong performances justify another term in office.

Speaking to journalists in Kankia town, Katsina State, after casting his vote in the recently concluded local government elections, Dangiwa asserted that Tinubu and Radda’s achievements are unmatched, forcing the opposition to resort to envy and criticism.

“The people of Katsina State and the entire North will return both President Bola Tinubu and Governor Dikko Radda to power in 2027. Despite relentless attacks from the opposition, their people-oriented policies and programs have won the hearts of the people, securing their re-election,”* he said.

On voter turnout, the minister praised the people for coming out in large numbers, describing the Election Day as “a day of joy.”

He said: “Even before I left for the polling unit, I called and was informed that people had already turned out at our polling unit. After moving around, we observed that people had come out peacefully everywhere to cast their votes.”

‘’We appreciate the election officials, security personnel, and voters who came out peacefully to exercise their rights. This time, women were the majority in terms of turnout and voting’’.

‘’They also demonstrated discipline, and it appears that people are satisfied with the work of the local, state, and federal governments due to the various projects carried out for them’’

‘’I want to assure them that Governor Dikko Radda remains committed to granting full autonomy to local governments. He firmly believes that allowing them to function independently is not a burden on his administration but rather an opportunity for grassroots development’’.

He further assured that by empowering local councils, they will have the resources and authority to effectively serve their communities and ensure that projects and services reach the people directly.
