At least 26,000 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members have joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State.
They include party leaders in Shanga and Maiyama local government areas, both in Zuru Emirate.
The defectors joined the APC at a rally held at Gomo Unity Hall in Zuru at the weekend.
They were received by Deputy Governor, Samaila Yombe Dabai, who assured them of inclusiveness.
Among the 26,000 defectors, 9000 were from Danko Wasagu, 7000 from Zuru, 6000 from Fakai and 4000 from Sakaba, among others.
