Kene Mkparu’s 22 screens cinema nears completion in Nnewi

In the last three years, Kene Mkparu has been busy in Nnewi, Anambra state, where he’s currently erecting the biggest cinema screen and cinema that has the most screens in Africa.

With over 27 years of experience in cinema and film industry business management as well as cinema investment financing and set-up, Mkparu is working hards to make a statement with his new venture.

The Nation reliably gathered that the Group President/CEO KOMWORLD (owners of CineKOM Cinemas and StudioKOM Production & Distribution) is determined to lead the film industry in Africa by setting standards in the cinema world.

On inquiry, Mkparu confirmed the construction of a new cinema house with 22 screens and the biggest screen in Africa in Nnewi.

“It is true. I have been busy for some time now and have literally relocated to Nnewi, where KOMWorld is constructing what will become the cinema with the most screens (22) and the biggest screen in Africa. We don’t want to say much until we launch very soon,” he said.

The Nation also gathered that work at the construction site is nearing its end as the opening has been tentatively fixed for December 2022.
