A 24-year-old woman, Olamide Akinbobola, was yesterday remanded in Kirikiri Prisons for allegedly stabbing her husband to death following her arraignment before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court.
Olamide, a school teacher, was charged with murder.
Chief Magistrate O.A. Komolafe said she would remain in custody pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
She directed that the case file be duplicated and a copy sent to the DPP.
Prosecuting Sergeant Kehinde Omisakin alleged that the woman committed the offence on May 30 at 1, Olupebi Abijo Street, Gbaga, off Ijede Road, Ikorodu.
Omisakin told the court that the accused stabbed her husband, Dare 28, on the neck with a kitchen knife.
The case continues on July 12.
