The Kuje Medium Custodial Centre came under attack by terrorists last night.

It was learnt that the first explosion, a high-capacity bomb, went off around 10.25pm.

Some accounts said it was followed by the second and third blast and sporadic gunshots.

A security report had alerted the officials to possible attacks on the facility.

One of the workers at the facility who confirmed the attack in a chat said the attackers had come from the back of the centre.
