The Embassy of the State of Kuwait donated foodstuff to 600 Nigerians for Eid.
The donation, done in conjunction with Attawasul Worldwide Foundation (ATWOF), was done in Ibadan, Oyo State, and environs. The beneficiaries included the elderly, widows and other less-privileged.
Country Director of ATWOF Alhaji Bashir Onilogbo said the gesture was to alleviate the suffering of the poor and needy in the society.
According to him, the 600 beneficiaries were drawn from various towns for this year’s special Iftar Sa’im (Joint breaking of fast).
According to Onilogbo, charitable works from the state of Kuwait amounted to $5 million last year. He prayed for Allah’s continued blessings and protection for the State of Kuwait and Nigeria.
