‘Kwara to embark on school renovation’

KWARA

Kwara State Government has said it will soon begin another round of massive primary and secondary school renovation.

It urged old students of schools to spare a thought for their alma mater.

Deputy Governor Kayode Alabi made this known in Ilorin at event organised by the 1982 set of Playfair Memorial College (PMC), Oro-Ago, in Ifelodun Local Government.

Alabi, who hails from Oro-Ago, was represented by his Principal Private Secretary, Ayantola Malomo.

He said: “Government has done wonderful things in our community. The government’s touch is visible at Playfair Memorial College. There are more efforts underway to see that not only the college, but also most of our primary and secondary schools will be equipped and renovated. As a son of the soil, I am doing all I can to ensure my community benefits from the programme.”

The National Chairman of the 1982 set, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, advised his colleagues to rally round and uplift the college to an enviable citadel of learning.
