Nigerian singer and songwriter, Zainab Elizabeth Donli aka Lady Donli has shared the sacrifice she made towards her musical journey.
The Afropop singer, in an exclusive chat with The Nation, narrated how she had to prove herself from a young age.
“Sacrifice I made for my music was that I had to prove myself. My parents always knew that I was going to go into music, music did not just start for me, music started for me when I was a child from like school, recitals, to the church. I was always singing and writing, my parents always knew, teachers in my school used to tell them that I have talents,” said Donli.
Lady Donli holds a degree in Law from the prestigious University Of Surrey, Guildford, England. She broke into the Nigerian music space with her single ‘Cash’ which she later remixed with superstar, Davido.
