Lady floors federal lawmaker in Benue

Little is known about Aida-Nath Ogwuche, a 35-year-old lawyer who defeated a House of Representative member representing the Ado/ Okpokwu/ Ogbadigbo federal constituency, Francis Agbo.

The Convener of the Aida-Nath Foundation clinched the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket.

Ms. Ogwuche was a Principal Senior Assistant to Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom.

She contested the House of Assembly election in 2019 to represent Ogbadigbo constituency but lost.

She scored 71 votes to beat Agbo, who got 35 votes.

Ms Ogwuche studied law at the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom.

She attended the Nigeria Law School in Bwari, Abuja.

She hails from the Ogbadigbo Local Government Area of Benue South.
