Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos State, Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf has empowered members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward G, Agbado/Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area, under Alimosho Local Government with job tools.
Beneficiaries of the empowerment programme were given items such as generators, hair dryers, barbing clippers, and sewing machines among others.
Speaking at the presentation of the items held in the Ajasa area of the LCDA, Akinbile-Yussuf urged APC members in Ward G to promote the party and work hard for its victory in the forthcoming elections.
‘’The winning votes are in the Alimosho area of Lagos State and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has told me that if truly the winning votes are in Alimosho council area, then I should urge our members to mobilise huge votes for APC and all the party’s candidates vying for various elective positions. Once we deliver the massive votes, the governor will do more infrastructure development in our council area.’’
The commissioner said that a new cultural heritage being developed by the state government in the council area would boost employment opportunities for residents.
‘’ In Ipaja-Ayobo, a new historical Lagos cultural heritage centre is being constructed and the centre would generate no fewer than 500 jobs for residents.
‘’The centre is going to be equipped with a jetty that can provide transportation for people going to as far as Ojo, Festac, and Badagry and by the end of the year, the centre would be completed.’’
Akinbile-Yussuf added that a Yuletide festival would be held in Ward G to celebrate young persons by the end of the year.
