PERMANENT Secretary of Lagos State Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Oluseyi Whenu, retired on Friday.
The state celebrated him in a ceremony at Chapel of Christ the Light in Alausa, Ikeja, with a reception at High Point Event Centre, Agidingbi.
Present were public servants, families and friends.
Sewedo, who was born into the Whenu family on October 30, 1962, began his education at Christ Apostolic Church Primary School, Agege, from 1966 to 1972.

He attended Lagos African Church Grammar School, Ifako-Agege, and Baptist High School, Ede, Osun State.
In 1984, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biology Education, from University of Lagos, and a Master’s in Education from University of Ibadan in 1986.
Whenu started working in 1988 as a Lecturer 11 at Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Yaba, Lagos, and was absorbed and converted into the mainstream civil service as Principal Administrative Officer, Grade Level 12, in 1997.
