The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) has denied appointing agents to sell loan forms.
In a statement yesterday, the agency urged the public to discountenance anyone posing as its agent.
The statement reads: “It has come to the attention of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) that certain individuals, parading themselves as agents of the Fund, are selling loan assessment and job application forms. These individuals are fake, devious and are perpetuating criminal activities.
“For the avoidance of doubt, please note that the LSETF is not selling application forms or appointed any agent or agents to sell forms on its behalf.
“The Fund’s mission of creating employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for Lagos residents, and its vision of “enabling Lagos residents realise their aspirations by providing leverage & access to finance” do not align with such unscrupulous behaviour.
“We urge anyone approached by these fraudulent individuals to report their activities to the relevant law enforcement agencies.”
