Six suspected killers of Chief Superintendent (CSP) Kazeem Abonde who fled to Nasarawa State have been trailed and arrested by operatives of the Lagos Police Command, The Nation has learnt.
The suspects were brought back to Lagos yesterday by detectives deployed to the North Central state after weeks of painstaking investigation.
It was gathered that the suspects who were positively identified through Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras, to have taken part in the coldblooded murder of Abonde at Ajao Estate, Isolo, fled to Nasarawa State after the incident to evade arrest.
Detectives apprehended four persons who allegedly took active part in the murder. It was from those four that the whereabouts of the other six were revealed.

Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu had directed detectives at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, to deploy forensic skills and analyse all video evidence from the scene of the attack to ensure the real culprits were fished out and prosecuted.
Confirming the arrest of the suspects, Odumosu told The Nation that the police currently have 10 persons who participated in the murder in custody, adding that investigation was still ongoing.
He said that all those who lynched the senior officer would face the law.
Meanwhile, the state government through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) yesterday reached out to the family of the deceased officer in appreciation of his service.
It was gathered that a cheque of N10m was handed to Abonde’s family, just as the command also presented cash gifts to them, while efforts to ensure the quick payment of his benefits by the Federal Government have commenced.
