Lara Day School celebrates families

Lara Day School has hosted its Family Fun Day with a call for family bonding and skill-based education.

The event was attended by parents and stakeholders of the school.

The school’s Head, Mrs Patricia Tioluwani, said the event would teach the importance of play to children’s development.

“Lara Day School wants everyone to know that play is an essential and core part of learning and child development; one cannot deny a child of play and expect to have a rounded child. Our aim is to educate our immediate and external audiences that play helps a child develop physical skills, problem solving skills and ability to concentrate,” she said.

PTA Chairman, Mrs. Tinuke Afe-Ajanaku, praised the school’s legacy.

“Lara Day School is a family school with over 50 years of existence and an unfeigned commitment to giving the best of qualitative education using current and future instructional methods to enhance learning for the children,” she said.
