Larry J: I’ll never attempt unethical jokes

RISING Nigerian comic act, Lanre Gregory aka Larry J has opined that he will never attempt to say unethical jokes at events.

In a chat with The Nation, Larry J said, “I will not attempt unethical jokes at events and I won’t pick on people or insult some of the guests on stage all in the name of cracking a joke.”

The comic act, who says he’s ready for the 2022 edition of LarryJ live scheduled for July 3, 2022, at Terra Kulture, believes relatable jokes are funnier than picking on guests or the audience.

“Funny jokes are relatable jokes like talking about politics, relationships in marriage, and being single. Comedy is a skill, it can be acquired and it can also be a gift. Likewise, people say, your gift is not enough you have to develop it. I have seen so many people who are skillful in comedy and they don’t just rely on the fact they have a gift.”

LarryJ opined further that he’s a funny character saying if his jokes weren’t hilarious, fans won’t commend him nor would he get gigs to perform as he has been getting in recent times.
