The Chairman, Senate Committee on Works, Senator Kabiru Gaya has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for addressing the country’s infrastructural deficits through appreciable budgetary allocations to works.
He addressed State House correspondents yesterday after a closed-door meeting with President Buhari yesterday in Aso Rock.
Gaya specifically lauded the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for approving N155 billion for the reconstruction of the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano road.
He said: “We are very happy that he has awarded the road projects from Kano to Abuja, which will cost N155 billion, that is a plus. And being the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Works, I can say no government, in the last 16 years, has put so much money on road projects like this government.
