The lawmaker representing Ikeja I in the Lagos State House of Assembly Folajimi Mohammed has counselled youths to always shun violence and remain focused so they can be great.
Mohammed gave the admonition after engaging the youths in sporting and other impactful activities.
According to him, exposing the youths to sporting competitions and other related activities will make them fit, healthy and also prepare them for future challenges in their education and other areas of life.
Chairman of Onigbogbo Local Council Development Area Oladotun Olakanle said engaging youths in sporting activities will encourage them to be more engaged in productive enterprise that will expose them to more opportunities that will better their lives in the future.
He encouraged them to do away with violence and stay away from trouble, especially during this political era where hooliganism is the order of the day. Olakanle said they should not subject themselves to become tools in the hands of politicians who may want to use them for political gains.
