Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has been asked to stop reported attempts by the Ifako/Ijaye local government to relocate the Iju garage from its present location to residential area.
According to Chief Johnson Wale, a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area, it is wrong to seek to relocate the garage from its present place to residential areas where children could be exposed to danger.
He wondered why parks which are usually associated with miscreants, hemp smokers, pickpockets and other undesirable characters could be located in crowded residential area.
The politician urged Ambode to use his good office to stop the plan as, according to him, residents of the area are scared of the negative implication of citing a garage in residential area.
