Montpellier attacker Akor Jerome Adams has been rated above French forward Kylian Mbappe at the end of French Ligue 1 Matchday Nine matches as L’Equipe named him in the Team of the Week following his brace in his side’s 3-0 home thrashing of Toulouse.
Adams, in his debut season in the French League, started the season with a brace against Le Havre on August 13th and he has not looked back ever since following his two goals again in their 3-0 home win over Toulouse last weekend.
It was on the strength of this that L’Equipe rated him 8/10 and he is just only one of the three players with similar ratings with the others being Argentine’s Facundo Axel Medina of RC Lens and Frenchman Florian Sotoca .
Though Mbappe also scored a brace last weekend in PSG’s away win at Brest , he only got 7 rating fo his effort but has been picked to partnered Nigeria’s Adams in the attack for the MatchDay Nine’s Team of the Week.

Adams with seven goals from nine games is only behind France and PSG striker, Mbappe in the race for the French League highest score with French World Cup winner on 10 goals from the same number of games.
Meanwhile, Adams by the virtue of the two goals he scored last weekend against Toulouse, is the first Montpellier player to reach seven goals after the opening nine games in the French Ligue One.
Adams and Montpellier must gird their loins as they visit the capital city this Friday in a blockbuster fixture with PSG. He will be privileged to play face to face with Mbappe.
