Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi scored his ninth league goal of the season for Lorient, but his effort was insufficient as his side fell to a 2-1 home loss against Champions PSG yesterday.
PSG were without the services of Argentine talisman Lionel Messi when they traveled to Lorient.
Les Merlus boss Le Bris opted to start Super Eagles stars Moffi, his first since coming back from injury, and Innocent Bonke.
PSG were the better team from the start, and they needed just nine minutes to open the scoring.
Hugo Ekitike setup Neymar, who promptly slotted into the net to make it 1-0 for the Parisians.

However, Moffi came up big for his side, netting the equalizer in the 53rd minute.
Lorient built on the momentum after scoring, pressing PSG, and restricting the Ligue 1 champions from creating chances.
Unfortunately for Lorient, they could not hold out for long, as PSG regained their lead in the 81st minute with a powerful header from Danilho Pereira off an assist from Neymar.
Lorient tried to get an equalizer, but PSG showed Champions stuff holding out for the 2-1 win.
Still in France, Moses Simon was in the entire match but could not prevent Nantes from falling to a narrow 1-0 loss at Reims, with the only goal scored by Super Eagles eligible Folarin Balogun via a 83rd minute penalty. It was the Arsenal loanee’s seventh goal of the season.
In the EPL, Joe Aribo was a 64th minute substitute for Theo Walcott as Southampton were thrash 1-4 at home by Newcastle.
