The Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN) has unveiled its 10th year anniversary logo to emphasise the power of nature as the starting point for every journey and to showcase the importance of creating lasting experiences.
The unveiling held at the Dr. Abayomi Finnih Park in Lagos, and was attended by founding members of the association, heads of agencies and other stakeholders.
President of EXMAN Tunji Adeyinka, in his opening remarks, noted that the association has come a long way since its inception in 2013, with four successive executive committees led by Kayode Olagesin, Dr. Rotimi Olagesin, Kehinde Salami, and Tade Adekunle, ‘who have all contributed immensely to building the EXMAN ethos of creating extraordinary experiences across Nigeria and Africa’.
“Ten years ago, a group of people came together to start an association of professional companies in the experiential marketing practice in Nigeria. Today, that journey that started in 2013 is still moving on the right path,” Adeyinka noted.
The president also announced the launch of the EXMAN Bank, an image bank that will allow members contribute to building a collection of extraordinary experiential marketing campaigns in the Nigerian market. He urged members to upload campaigns that have made an impact, ‘even if the work is not from their agency’, to celebrate the practice of experiential marketing. “The gallery will be available on mobile via an augmented reality mode to show how technology is impacting the industry,” he added.
Adeyinka also announced the upcoming launch of an Asset Exchange Service, which will allow members to lease and use technical equipment from other members. This service will help members deliver with technical equipment that they do not own, and those who own the equipment to better utilise their assets on the balance sheet. Ultimately, clients will benefit from quality services at a good price, Adeyinka said.
The unveiling of the anniversary logo is the first in the chain of activities lined up for the year-long anniversary celebrations. Others are the Brand Experience Summit, EXMAN Awards, Annual General Meeting (AGM) and elections, all coming up in July.
Former president and MD/ CEO of Ideas House, Kehinde Salami, said the logo, which has nine parts and built at the venue of the unveiling by some pioneer members, was in line with the association’s values and the collaborative spirit among members.
General Secretary of EXMAN Owolabi Mustapha, who spoke on the logo, said: “The inspiration behind the logo is borne out of the fact that we create unique experiences for our clients, and we decided to change the color we had from inception which are majorly orange, grey and white.
“Orange represents strength, creativity, brightness in our people and the work that we do. The white means transparency in our dealings with clients and flawless execution, while the grey is am assurance that as an industry and a body, we will continue to collaborate and partner with people.”
EXMAN is the sectoral trade body for forward-looking experiential marketing communications agencies in Nigeria. As well as serving as a co-operative of the best experiential marketing agencies in Nigeria, it exists to support, promote and defend the interests of over 50 member-agencies, with over N30 billion through comprehensive core services and platforms.
