Candidate of Action Democratic Party (ADP) in June 18 Ekiti State governorship election, Kemi Halle-Elebute, has advised couples to be tolerant and patient.
Halle-Elebute spoke yesterday in Ilasa-Ekiti during the reunion of her parents, Mrs. Oluwatosin Talabi and Chief Adeniran Samuel Elebute, who had been separated for 41years.
She noted that lack of tolerance, patience, understanding, and management were main factors for early collapse of marriages.
The first female governorship candidate in Ekiti State urged couples to accept each other to create a strong marriage bond.

‘’… marriage is a life-long contract sustained by patience, love, understanding and tolerance. … marriages break up principally because couples are not tolerant and patient with one another.
Halle-Elebutte said her parents’ reunion after 41 years of separation was indication good things could happen to anybody if they trust God and believe in themselves.
She hailed the reunion, saying ‘it is never too late to fix a broken marriage’.
“I am so glad my parents are together to renew their love after many years of separation. They separated when I was less than a year. It was the governorship election that brought them together…” she said.
