McTominay signs Napoli contract

Twenty-seven year old midfielder Scott McTominay has completed a permanent transfer to Napoli from Manchester United. 

McTominay, who emerged as a standout player from Manchester United’s youth system, made 255 appearances for the senior team after debuting under José Mourinho against Arsenal in 2017.

The transfer to Napoli, the reigning Serie A champions for the 2022/23 season, is valued at approximately €30 million. The deal also includes a provision for Manchester United to receive 10% of any future resale value.

McTominay’s contract with Napoli will see him earn €3 million annually through 2028, ensuring his long-term presence at the club.

This move is a notable development for both Napoli and McTominay, as the Scottish international’s Premier League experience is expected to strengthen Napoli’s midfield and provide valuable depth for both domestic and European competitions.
