The Onise of Odo Oro-Ekiti in Ikole Local Government of Ekiti State State, Oba Babatunde Jemilehin, has appealed to Governor Kayode Fayemi to fix the dilapidated St. Thomas Catholic Primary School in the area.
Jemilehin lamented the experience of pupils under deplorable classrooms, especially during rainy season.
He spoke in Odo Oro-Ekiti during the handing over of a renovated block of three classrooms by old students to the school management and government officials.

Commending the alumni for the gesture, Oba Jemilehin noted that government should give the pupils a befitting learning environment.
He said pupils go through harrowing experience to study in the school and this can affect them psychologically.
National coordinator of the Alumni Association Old Students Association, Prince Segun Okunoye, said there was need for the state and stakeholders to save the school.
He said the old students were moved by pictures and videos of pupils learning under deplorable structures and decided to renovate the block of three classrooms.
