The Orangun of Oke-Ila, Osun State, Adedokun Abolarin, has appealed to government at all level to beef up security at border communities in the country.
He spoke at his palace when a U.S based-cleric, Bishop Felix Owolabi of Faith Triumph Ministries International, Baltimore, Maryland, donated a patrol van to the Osun Security Network, codenamed Amotekun.
Oba Adedokun said: “What happened last year in Igangan and yesterday in Owo is a sign that we must be very vigilant. It is important that the government should help the boundary communities and beef up security in those areas.”
Bishop Owolabi said his gesture towards Amotekun outfit is to show solidarity with security agencies, adding that he hoped the patrol vehicle will help the corps in its fight against crime, and provide effective security for the people.
