He assured that his board will draw up a programme that will bring more fans to the Warri Township Stadium which he called “Bring back our fans to play Champions League with us.

“First and foremost, I thank God Almighty. I thank the Chairman of the Sports Commission,  Tony Okowa and the member of the commission, I want to praise Amaju Pinnick , and the past management led by Davidson Onwumi that actually did a good job for the club,” Etu said to SportingLife.

“I want to follow the footsteps of Emeka Inyama, who is also a journalist, Alloy Chukwuemeka and recently Godwin Enakena of MFM. I am a journalist too. This is an opportunity for me to contribute my quota to the club. I want to see that the club is run in a professional way. I promise to carry my members along and we shall deliver by God’s grace.”

He said the board will work very hard and promised not to disappoint fans.

“They are very happy and I am not going to disappoint them. Our slogan is  bring back our fans to play Champions League with us. We will try and bring at least 20,000 or 30,000 fans into the stadium as it is happening in Aba, Kano and Ibadan and it will happen here in Warri,” he assured.
