Media accreditation tags for the Naija Super 8 tournament will be available for pick-up at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena at Onikan, Lagos, this afternoon and tomorrow for successful applicants.

Organisers of the tournament, Flykite Productions, said that limited accreditation access has been offered to intending media organisations and individuals due to space constraints at the Media Tribune in the stadium.

Television and online broadcast operators, who have been accredited are reminded that recording of live action is prohibited, while they will be given access to the media interview room at the end of each match for post-match interviews.

“Highlights of every fixture would be provided by our official broadcast producer and we will strictly enforce the prohibition of the use of video recording cameras anywhere in the stadium during matches”, a spokesperson of the organisation said.

Flykite Productions said the accreditation tag only provides access to the games and no financial or material benefits to those issued the tags.

“It is important to stress that the purpose of accreditation of media organisations and individuals is strictly to regulate access to the matches and this in no way puts any liability, financial or otherwise on Flykite Productions.”

NPFL Champions, Enyimba International, and runners-up Remo Stars will play on the opening day of the tournament featuring eight of the very best teams in the country as voted by fans.

Other clubs include former champions, Rivers United, and Katsina United. The rest are Yobe Desert Stars, Sporting Lagos and Akwa United. Naija Super 8 tournament will hold at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos from 7-16 July.

The tournament is organised in partnership with MultiChoice Nigeria and sponsors, MTN, Hero Lager, DStv, GOtv, SuperSport, Moniepoint, Pepsi and Custodian Assurance.
