Lagos Boxing Hall of Fame (LBHF), the organisers of the Lagos Monthly Saturday Boxing Show have announced its decision to put off the November edition of the event.
Coordinator for LBHF, Taju Alabi, speaking to NationSports, said that the decision not to hold the amateur boxing event, scheduled to hold on the last Saturday of the month at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, due to the dates clashing with the forthcoming National Sports Festival in Asaba, Delta State from 28 November till 10 December.
Instead the organisers would now focus their energies in hosting a successful Lagos Governor’s Belt, the premier competition for amateur boxing in Nigeria on December 26.
As one of Nigeria’s longest running sporting events, the Boxing Show pulls hundreds of boxing fans every last Saturday of the month as well as amateur boxers who are only too happy to showcase their skills.
