Organisers of the grassroot football competition in the Niger Delta region, the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC) U17 Peace Cup, have appointed the Chairman of sub-committees that will work hand in glove with the executive of the body, to ensure a hitch-free competition.
The constitution of the sub-committees is coming barely a few days after the organisers, the Grassroot Sports Federation of Nigeria, (GRASOF), announced Asaba, the Delta State capital, as the host of the second edition of the annual competition.
A statement by the National Public Relations Officer of GRASOF, Patrick Ndubuisi said the Coordinator of the Niger Delta Under 17 Peace Cup Tournament, John Ekpenyoung has graciously approved the appointment of Chairmen of Sub Committees for the effective organisation of the competition.
According to the statement, the Organising Committee will be Chaired by Elder Ini Edoho, the Technical Committee will be headed by Harrison Iyonmana, while Engr Kingsley Ukpedesivwe is the Chairman of the Accomodation Committe, as Mr Ada Gwegwe will Chair the Welfare Committee.
Others are Comrade Patrick Ndubuisi, Chairman – Media Committee, Mr Morris Silas, Chairman Logistics/Transportation, Mr Johnson Udoh, Chairman – Protocol Committee, Dr. Victor Azubuike, Chairman – Medical Committee, the Delta State Commander, Hunters Group of Nigeria, Mr. Jonathan Obokowhemu, will Chair the Security Committee, while Dr. Esin Esin has been appointed Chairman of the Secretariat.
