The Executive Director CEO, Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC Ezra Yakusak in partnership with GP777 football academy Egypt has began football talent hunt for Nigeria youths.

Yakusak noted that the program initiated by the NEPC is part of the export of services, an untapped area that has not been fully harnessed.

Yakusak disclosed this at the opening ceremony of football talent hunt organized by NEPC in partnership with GP777 football academy in Abuja, stating that The football talent hunt is one of the strategies adopted to mainstream the youths in export activities through the Youth for Export Programme.

This event according to him, is of great interest to the NEPC as it provides a veritable platform for advancing the “Export for survival” campaign of the Council in the promotion of goods and services for export.

“It is targeted at youth who are interested in entrepreneurship and export businesses. The project will provide training and mentorship on the export process, market research, product development, and access to funding and markets. Football is the most popular sport in Nigeria and has become a significant source of national pride”.

The Chief Executive Officer, CEO GP777 football academy Cairo Marc Bautista said they hope to at least take 150 players with them to Egypt and different other European countries.
