Neuroscience student holds exhibition

Olisa Ogbue, a final year Neuroscience student at King’s College, London, has held a solo exhibition tagged:  “Verisimilitude”, in Lagos.

The exhibition showcased nine paintings, one clay work and nine T-shirts.

Ogbue’s artwork challenges past labels used to describe black people, juxtaposing American caricature images with renaissance-inspired imagery.

He said: “I started by drawing images I saw online, gaining confidence with each piece. I’m grateful for the support I’ve received.”
