President Muhammadu Buhari has conferred the National Productivity Order of Merit Award (NPOM) on the Chief Executive Officer of New Crystal Communications, Dozie Mbanefo.
Fourteen other eminent Nigerians also got awards in various fields.
Mbanefo, an outdoor advertising practitioner, has also been nominated for Creative Leadership in Outdoor Advertising practice by Marketing Edge Brands and Advertising Excellence Awards 2018.
He is a thorough-bred whose sojourn in the outdoor advertising sector has been hallmarked by revolutionary and innovative products in the competitive Nigerian out-of-home environment.
At the event, which held at the NAF Conference Centre and Suites in Kado, Abuja, President Buhari described Mbanefo as one of the few young Nigerian entrepreneurs who are impacting the corporate sector through their productive inputs.
The President, who said no nation can attain prosperity without vibrant and productive citizens, hailed Mbanefo and other awardees.
He enjoined other Nigerians to emulate them.
Addressing reporters at the event, the New Crystal Communications chief thanked the President for the honour and recognition.
He pledged to contribute more to national economic growth and development in areas he has been operating.
Mbanefo said: “This award (NPOM) is certainly a clarion call to work harder. I am more challenged to do more. I am more encouraged to be one of the champions of growth and prosperity for motherland. I assure all my clients and other Nigerians that I won’t disappoint.
