The 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation( NFF ), Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi has stated that the present board of NFF led by Amaju Pinnick wants to avoid the issue of funds constraints towards preparation for the the 2018 World Cup while also hoping that the Super Eagles can go beyond the quarter finals at at the biggest football tourney slated for Russia.
” Personally we want to avoid distractions before and during the World Cup and if possible the players will be paid in advance before each game. We want them to go beyond quarter final and the only way is to make the team comfortable”. Akinwummi revealed.

He noted that part of the road map is first to present the Super Eagles World Cup team to Nigerians with fanfare and pageantry and also the programme will include tour of some selected Nigerian cities to create awareness and support for the team while the sentforth of team will hold in Abuja.
