The Nigeria Football Federation(NFF) Technical Director, Bitrus Bewarang has expressed confidence in the
Nigerian coaches trained by the NFF while also stating that with the speed at which the coaches are
excelling,the country intends sending such coaches abroad to ply their trade.
According to the former Plateau Utd boss, the world football governing body (FIFA), had given the NFF the mandate to develop football at the grassroots , hence the need to train indigenous Coaches.
“We have been sending our players to the rest of the world, now it’s the time for us to start sending our coaches abroad. As at today, CAF A, B and C course licence have produced 777 coaches in Nigeria.
“Though we still have a long way two go, because Egypt and Ghana are ahead of us having graded close to 4,000 and 3,000 coaches respectively.”
Meanwhile, at the just concluded 6th edition of CAF C -Licence course held for indigenous coaches in Abuja, fifty-four Coaches graduated.
