OGC Nice are not giving up yet their resolve to acquire the services of Nigeria international striker Terem Moffi from FC Lorient as the French Ligue 1 side yesterday jerked their offer to an estimated €20m ( about N9,976,686,450.00).

Though there were claims that Nice are Moffi’s preferred choice after three other English Premier League sides including Southampton, Bournemouth and West Ham showed interest in the 23-year-old striker.

Only on Wednesday, West Ham submitted an improved 30 million Euros (about 14.7 Billion Naira) including bonus after FC Lorient reportedly turned down initial offers between 15m( about N7.3 Billion) to €25m (about N12.2 Billion).

Similarly, Nice had offers between €15m( about N7.3 Billion) and €18m (about N8.8 Billion) turned to down by Lorient.

But French outlet Ouest-France claimed yesterday that the Les Aiglons have jerked up their offer to 20m with €17m to be paid up-front and €3m worth of bonuses.

Incidentally, Moffi’s long standing advisor told NationSport exclusively this week that ‘ there are too many offers’ for his protégé , adding that both the player and his current club would take a firm decision amid too many tempting offers.

“The offers are many; and the interests indicated are even more,” the reliable source who pleaded anonymity told NationSport in a terse message. “Lorient are ready to sell.

“ We just have to keep our fingers crossed,” he added.

Moffi is currently the joint second-highest scorer in Ligue 1 this season along with Lille’s Jonathan David with 12 goals behind Paris Saint Germain’s Kylian Mbappé who has 13 goals.
