Socio-political group in Niger Delta, Concerned Niger Delta Youths for Peace (CNDYP), has given kudos to Group Executive Director of Upstream at Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Adokiye Tombomieye, for youth empowerment through Corporate Social Responsibility.

Leader of its Abuja chapter, Ochuko Etebefia, spoke in Abuja at a stakeholders meeting of Niger Delta youths.

He noted Tomobonieye is a “blessing to youths and  has the interest of the region at heart.”

Etebefia said the meeting was to review activities of NNPCL as it concerns youths in the region

“Tombomieye is a philanthropist who has touched lives in his service to humanity. He is a reliable leader who has brought integrity to bear on the upstream sector of the petroleum industry with records of excellence…

“We  urge the public to stop discrediting Tombomieye. He is not a selfish leader, but rather, a man who runs an inclusive administration.

“It is our prayer he becomes group managing director because we know he can manage NNPCL, with experience spanning over three decades.

“We call on Niger Delta leaders in government to always put the interest of the people they represent at heart. By so doing the region will develop and Niger Delta struggle will be a thing of the past.”

Etebefia called on youths to support Tombomieye, “the arrowhead youth development in Niger Delta’’.

He urged youths to maintain peace and order to attract development, noting only peace can guarantee human and material development.

The group appealed the President Bola Tinubu-led administration to build synergy for peace and development of the region by appointing youths to facilitate infrastructure growth in the region.
