NSCDC trains 450 personnel on arms and weapons

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps yesterday graduated 450 personnel trained in arms and weapons handling to assist in beefing up the nation’s security architecture.

According to the NSCDC authorities,  the personnel drawn from the 36 State Commands of the Federation successfully completed the eight weeks intensive training and were ready for deployment across the country.

At the passing out ceremony of the Batch 9 trainees,  held at the Corps National  Headquarters, Abuja, the Commandant General of the Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, congratulated the officials for enduring the rigorous training.

Audi who was represented by Deputy Commandant General,  Claudias Yakubu charged the trained personnel to uphold the principle, codes and rules of engagement of the Corps as it will not condone any form of accidental discharge.

He reiterated his commitment to reposition the Corps and improve the skills and competencies of personnel through training and retraining.
